On a bright Saturday afternoon, the Verbum Dei Jesuit High School community gathered on the field for the much-anticipated second annual faculty, staff, alum, and student softball game, organized by none other than the legendary Coach McDaniel '67.
In a thrilling showdown, the student team emerged victorious, narrowly edging out their seasoned, older opponents. Despite the competitive spirit, the game was all about fun, brotherhood, and school pride.
Following the game, everyone enjoyed a fried chicken feast. The students will enjoy bragging rights until next year—but as Coach McDaniel reminded everyone, "We’ll get ’em next time!"
Until then, the Verbum Dei spirit remains undefeated.
A special thank you to Coach Jensen Fluellen '08 for the photos.
